Chlamydia, a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) that is the most frequently reported bacterial STD in the United States.  Any sexually active person can be get a Chlamydia infection.  Chlamydia can damage a woman’s reproductive organs and symptoms usually are mild or absent.  Infertility and other serious sexual health complications can be caused by chlamydia.
