The separate samples that are now commonly used to test for Chlamydia can now be done with one single sample researches reported recently.

This is great news for the practical difficulties with Chlamydia testing and dealing with multiple samples.  There is difficulty in deciding the correct testing to order and sometimes having a useable second sample. The finding will greatly improvve the diagnosis and treatment of chlamydia.

Testing for Chlamydia has been done mostly with the first-void urine specimens as opposed to other urinary infections commonly done using a mid-stream specimen.
